"Stuff the Bus," is The Salvation Army's, in collaboration with Walmart Supercenter, initiative to provide local students with essential tools for a successful start to their school year.
Our local "Stuff the Bus," is July 9, 2025 from 10am-6pm (at Walmart) and then 6-8pm (unloading at The Salvation Army.)
Volunteers will have the wonderful opportunity to engage with Walmart customers and employees encouraging them to shop to donate a few school supplies during their in-store visit. During the 6-8pm shift at The Salvation Army, volunteers will be responsible for unloading and organizing the school supplies.
Volunteers during the Walmart shifts (10am-6pm) need to be up-beat, personable and engaging. They should wear comfortable shoes and weather appropriate clothing. The entire shift will be outside in front of the store. Volunteers during the unloading and organizing shifts should also wear comfortable shoes, be able-bodied and have basic organizational skills.
*NOTE: The 6-8pm shift will meet at The Salvation Army (111 N. Rogers St. Bloomington) to unload the bus and organized donations.
