The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

The Salvation Army of Bloomington, Indiana "preaches the gospel of Jesus Christ and meets human needs in His name without discrimination" in various ways. Some of our ministries include Sunday Church Services & Bible Study, Food Pantry, Pathway of Hope, provide clothing and hygiene items for those in need, host Youth & Family opportunities. Along with many seasonal opportunities like, summer camp, host a school supply distribution, bellringing, and Angel Tree (Christmas assistance.)
