The Nature Conservancy has improved and expanded our parking lot at the always popular North Loop trail at Green's Bluff Nature Preserve--but we need your help to finish the job. There's signage to install, a boot brush to construct, and parking spot footers that need staking down. If you're looking to get a free workout and help us get our new parking space up and running, this is an ideal volunteer workday for you! Plus, you can take a quick hike out on the improved trail afterwards and get a chance to see mid-spring wildflowers and migratory songbirds on the 1.9 mile trail.
There are no age limits or experience needed to participate. You can expect to use some tools, but will be shown exactly what to do by land steward Jesse Moore.
This event is open to 6 volunteers and youth are welcome to attend with their families. Come prepared with drinking water, close-toed shoes, and weather-appropriate layers. TNC will provide all tools and instructions. Please do not park along the road near the cemetery. For questions, please reach out to Esmé Barniskis at indianavolunteer@tnc.org.
