Join The Nature Conservancy staff for a brisk morning of invasive plant removal at the Twin Creek Valley preserve. Volunteers can expect a rewarding time removing woody invasives such as autumn olive from this beautiful Southern Indiana preserve. Invasive woody shrubs out-compete native species by staying green later into the season, causing major ecological disruption and habitat loss. Luckily, invasives can be controlled and habitats restored, so come be a part of the solution!
Please come prepared and dressed for the weather with plenty of layers, warm boots, and your own drinking water. Herbicide treatment will be part of the day. All supplies are provided. This work party is open to 5 volunteers aged 18 and up. Parking is available at the meeting location.
Please RSVP here so we can best prepare for the day: https://forms.office.com/r/xeM0k8YHTU.
