Bloomington Meals on Wheels needs delivery drivers for our food pantry program, Groceries to Go.
Groceries to Go provides supplemental food to Bloomington residents who are unable to access other food pantries or the Community Kitchen due to disability, illness, injury, or transportation.
Volunteer drivers deliver prepared grocery bags on an established route once per month. Routes take about 1.5 - 2 hours to complete, and begin at 10:00 a.m. every Thursday.
Volunteer drivers must be 21 years old, use their own insured vehicle, and pass a background check. Younger assistants may accompany the driver on the route, making this opportunity family-friendly.
Fully vaccinated individuals may request to be partnered with another fully vaccinated volunteer for route deliveries.
