Can you help us on Friday, November 20th with a Radio-a-thon?
The Club is having a Radio-a-Thon on B97 and we need people to take donations over the phone.
SHIFTS* are as follows on November 20:
- 6am-9am - two (2) volunteers needed – slow shift
- 9am-11am - two (2) volunteers needed – slow shift
- 11am-1pm - three (3) volunteers needed – busy shift
- 1pm-4pm - two (2) volunteers needed – slow shift
- 4pm-6pm - four (4) volunteers needed – very busy shift
*PLEASE arrive 10 minutes prior to your shift for check-in and training
DETAILS:
Your work will be to answer the phone when it rings and record gifts on a computer via an electronic form. We will provide the computers and the phones. You can bring your own laptop if you prefer. We will have a script for you to follow to walk people through what you need from them to get their information. Ashley Sullivan will be ON SITE all day to provide training and support. You may not be busy the whole shift, so feel free to bring a book or something else to do in between calls.
SAFETY:
- DISTANCING - we will have you located at the radio station in your own office space where you will not be near anyone else.
- CLEANING - We will be cleaning office spaces between shifts.
- CHECK-IN - A contactless temperature check will be taken upon entry into the building. If you temperature is above 100 degrees you will be asked to leave. You will be asked if you have developed a new cough, headache, etc. in the last 14 days or had a positive COVID test in the last 14 days. If your answer to either of these questions is “yes”, you will be asked to leave. If you feel that you cannot safely work your shift, please contact Leslie at 317-332-2653.
- MASKS - We ask that you please wear a mask when entering the building and during the time Ashley will be helping set you up. Once you are in your office space alone, you can shut the door and take off your mask. If you need to enter the common space in the radio station, such as the bathroom, we ask that you please wear a mask. We will have masks on site, if needed.
- FOOD & DRINK - Although we would LOVE to feed you to thank you for your help, to be safe, we ask that you bring your own food and drink, if you want it. This would be a huge help for us if you can assist with our Radio-a-thon on November 20th.
If you are willing to volunteer, please let me know! Also, if you can think of anyone else who might be willing to help with this feel free to share this information with them or share their information with me. Any questions? Text, call or email Leslie Abshier. 317-332-2653 is my cell.
