Calling all volunteers passionate about reducing plastics in the environment! Take your advocacy to the shoppers from 9 a.m.-12 noon on Saturday, August 24 at the Wal-Mart on West State Road 45 in Bloomington for a reusable shopping/tote bags distribution day.
The Monroe County Solid Waste Management District is sponsoring this event in an effort to encourage people to use an alternative to the plastic bags most retailers provide.
