Help ReStore Process Home Show Remainders
The Do It Best Fall Market on Tuesday, October 22nd at the Indianapolis Convention Center is a home show that donates the leftover items from booth displays and demonstrations to ReStores throughout Indiana. This allows us an opportunity to obtain a large amount of newly donated merchandise to sell in the ReStore. All proceeds from sold merchandise go directly to building homes in Monroe County.
Volunteers Needed
Up to four volunteers are needed to help move the home show merchandise from the Convention center floor to carts or pallets - so no heavy lifting - just lots of back and forth. It’s a long day with lots of moving around. Think Supermarket Sweep.
We will carpool to Indy in one-two vehicles. If you are able to drive - please let us know (mileage reimbursement available for being a carpool vehicle). We’ll meet at the ReStore on Bloomington's east side and leave no later than 9:30 a.m. for the Convention Center. The end time depends on various factors, but it is usually around 6:30 pm. That puts us back in Bloomington 7-7:30 p.m.
Lunch will be provided!
Wear good shoes and be prepared for lots of walking, unloading, and loading of carts or pallets.
This one day opportunity allows for volunteers to receive approximately 9 hours of ReStore-specific time.
