We need volunteers for the Library's second Fix-It-Fair on Saturday, September 21st from 11am to 4pm. The Fix-It Fair's goal is to demonstrate to attendees the value of repairing broken items, reducing waste, recycling, and learning new skills. Experts in different areas will fix the participants' items ranging from bicycles to clothing to small appliances. This will be a large event with lots of fix-it vendors. There will be opportunities for volunteers to interact with participants, help organize and set-up the event, and many other miscellaneous activities. This opportunity is great for those who are outgoing, positive, and love the library! Varying shifts are available throughout the day.
