Lotus Bazaar Volunteer Call-Out 2018: It's time to sign up for the Lotus Blossoms World Bazaar!
Event dates are Friday, April 6 and Saturday, April 7
Announcing the 23nd Annual Lotus Blossoms World Bazaar! Do you enjoy arts and crafts? Do you enjoy working with children? Lotus is looking for volunteers for our Blossoms Bazaar on Friday, April 6, and Saturday, April 7. Volunteers will be instructed in leading a simple and engaging activity, representing one of many world cultures. They will then work with attendees (children and adults) to teach or share the activity. Atmosphere is lively, dress is casual. Shift is 9:15am to 2pm on Friday and 10:30am to 3:30pm on Saturday.
- The Lotus Blossoms World Bazaar offers crafts and other activities that celebrate various world cultures, through art and music. It is designed for young people: Friday is open only to 4th graders, who are bussed in; Saturday is open to all, including families. Volunteers work at tables, assisting presenters with their activities.
- Volunteer dress is casual. Please wear your 2017- 2018 Lotus Volunteer T-shirt, if you have one. We will have a limited number of T-shirts available for volunteers completing a full shift either Friday or Saturday.
- Bring a lunch to sustain you. We will have water available, and coffee in the morning.
- The Bazaar will be held at our new location: Fairview Elementary School, in the gymnasium (500 W 7th St, Bloomington 47404)
We also need a few strong folks for set up on Thursday, April 5, from 4:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and tear down on Saturday, April 7, from 2:45 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Shift Assignments: I will place you where we need you; if you have been requested in a particular booth, I will send you there.
