CALL OUT FOR EXTRA HELP!
Along with IU students, many of our "regulars" are unavailable to volunteer during this holiday season. If you could possibly help out for a one-time-only shift during the next couple of weeks, we will welcome you with open arms! Here's how...
DONATIONS: Shalom has been the fortunate recipient of loads of DONATIONS - mostly clothes. In order to be of use to those we serve, these things need to be sorted through and put in our give-away space upstairs. If you have a penchant for organizing, and an extra hour or two, PLEASE let me know. The sooner we can get these things available for our clients, the better. (And we will be keeping the Fire Marshall happy, too.)
KITCHEN: We are particularly needing help in the KITCHEN on Monday mornings (but not the 26th.) Beginning in January we will have a huge vacancy every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30 to 9:30 am.
HOSPITALITY DESK: At the HOSPITALITY DESK, the mail usually arrives in the early afternoon, and its distribution is an important task for which we need extra help every day, but especially on Mondays. Thursdays we need help all day, especially in the morning. (When responding, please let me know if you have attended a volunteer orientation, and/or if you have ever volunteered here.)
