The Bloomington Symphony Orchestra is in need of a Treasurer. Our Treasurer is responsible for monthly reports to the Board, reconciling bank statements, helping create annual budgets, and getting Federal and State taxes and reporting done on time.
This volunteer position would be perfect for someone looking to get involved with an established local non-profit, make valuable professional connections, and really make a difference in our community.
Our ideal applicant would possess a mix of the following skills/experience:
- familiarity with Quickbooks (online)
- knowledge of non-profit tax filing requirements
- ability to work with a team of other volunteers to prepare our annual budget
- willingness to take a leadership role on our Operations/Development Committee
- ability to attend monthly Board meetings (in person or via Zoom)
