Reading Fest is a week long celebration in all of the Boys & Girls Club sites.
Members have a week full of reading inspired programs and chances to read to achieve goals for the week. A week of reading inspiration to inspire a life of reading and learning!
One special day at each Club we invite volunteers from the community to join us in the Club and help our young readers explore a book with a great community mentor!
Volunteers will arrive at the Club by 4:50 pm. Our volunteer coordinators will greet all volunteers and walk you through process and provide helpful tips for a quality experience for all. We will join a program space, select a book and read to 1-2 members.
We will be reading with kids until 5:55 pm when we will all help the members put everything away and prepare to transition to the final program of the day.
Sometimes you will have the same youth for the full time but sometimes a child may be picked up during the program and we will welcome a new member to join!
