Wheeler Mission--Bloomington's vision of our Transforming Lives Building Hope campaign is about to become a reality for our our guests experiencing homelessness and our Westplex Avenue campus!
But before renovation can begin on each of our campus' three facilities, our team will need to set up our Opportunity Lane location to accommodate all of our Center For Men's furnishings as our General Contractor will need our entire Center for Men for staging and planning purposes for our capital improvement projects.
Leading up to campus renovation, Wheeler Mission--Bloomington is looking for groups of up to 12 to assist with our transition process.
Specifically, we're asking for YOUR HELP in the following areas:
- Lifting and moving heavy items such as furniture, bedding, and boxes
- Disabling and reassembling beds
- Moving office furniture, desks and chairs
- Cleaning, sweeping and mopping
- Some landscaping (i.e., tree trimming)
Some important notes to consider:
- We'll be moving quite a number of items upstairs within our Opportunity Lane location, so a lot of transitioning up and down stairs.
- Do you own a truck and, if so, would you be willing to haul items from our Center for Men to our Opportunity Lane location?
- Do you own a power washer? Our Opportunity Lane building's exterior and back deck could use a good wash.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated as we'll offer bottled water at each of our two-hour shifts referenced below.
Thank you in advance.
Your Wheeler Mission--Bloomington Team
