Wheeler Mission--Bloomington Donation Center Basement Clean-Up

Expired

Description

Wheeler Mission—Bloomington’s Donation Center (400 Opportunity Lane, Bloomington, IN 47404) basement flooded with approximately three inches of water covering the entire basement floor due to a faulty sump pump.  The majority of the water receding, but unfortunately, there remains much to be done.

Over the next couple of weeks, a lot of items within our Donation Center basement will need to be moved to get access to all the water. There is still a lot of water in puddles. Thousands of dollars worth of clothing, furniture, and bedding material donations were damaged and everything on the floor will need to be moved, dried or disposed of.

WE NEED YOUR HELP.

Wheeler Mission—Bloomington is looking for volunteer groups (up to ten individuals) to serve within our Donation Center basement for the following two hour shifts: 8-10 am, 10 am-12 pm, 12-2 pm, and 2-4 pm Tuesday (12/31), Thursday (1/2), Friday (1/3), and Monday through Friday (1/6-1/10) of next week.

If you’re interested and available, please contact C-M Morrison at cmmorrison@wheelermission.org, and we’ll pencil you in. Thank you very much in advance!
