The Dawg Gone Walk & Fiesta is a fun-filled day where pets and owners alike enjoy contests, games, demonstrations and a ceremonial walk around Deer Run Park in Nashville. Last year, approximately 130 dogs and over 200 people attended the Walk.
As with all of our events, volunteers are the key to making this day a success. It takes over 50 people to make this day possible. Volunteers help with setup of the event in the morning and then during the event volunteers help to run one of our six games, help sell tickets and merchandise to attendees or help in many other ways.
The day is broken out into the following shifts:
9am to 11:30am: Event Setup
11:30am to 3pm: Event help (running a game, selling tickets, etc.)
2:30 to 4pm: Cleanup and teardown
