Description

Take the First Step to Become a Volunteer at Middle Way House

Anyone who wishes to volunteer with Middle Way House must first attend a pre-service training. This 8-hour training will give attendees an understanding of domestic violence, sexual assault, and how the cycle of violence is perpetuated in order to prepare them to effectively volunteer with this agency.

This training provides a basic introduction to domestic violence and sexual violence, both as specific issues in the lives of community members/clients, and as social/structural problems.

All volunteers with Middle Way House have to attend this training, but it can also be useful for anyone who works with people who might have experienced domestic violence or sexual violence at some point!

Both women and men are strongly encouraged to attend the training event.

For more information, visit our website at middlewayhouse.org.
