Description

This training provides a basic introduction to domestic violence and sexual violence, both as specific issues in the lives of community members/clients, and as social/structural problems. All volunteers with Middle Way House have to attend this training, but it can also be useful for anyone who works with people who might have experienced domestic violence or sexual violence at some point! See below for a sample outline--day-of times may be different, but all modules are covered at each training.

Participants only need to bring a completed volunteer application, which can be found on the Middle Way House website by clicking on “Take Action” and then “Volunteer Training”.

Free parking is available along Washington, Lincoln, and Grant Streets, and the parking garage at 4th and Walnut is 50 cents per hour. Most buses also stop at the Transit Center on their routes.
