About Us
The Chorus provides a positive performance-based community for gay and bisexual men and their allies in South Central Indiana. It fosters talent, fellowship, pride, and understanding through excellence in vocal music.
What We Do
The music of Quarryland Men’s Chorus gives voice to what matters in our lives as LGBT people and allies. Through our concerts and numerous community performances, we share the powerful messages of our music and inspire people from all walks of life to speak up for what matters in today’s continued struggle for equal rights. Perhaps even more importantly, this ever-growing community of supporters helps us advance our important mission across the region.
In order to accomplish its goals, the Chorus relies on both performing and off-stage volunteers.
Performing Members have the opportunity to strengthen their singing ability and musical knowledge through vocal music training, rehearsal, and performance. Any man who desires to sing, regardless of his musical background, can become a Performing Member.
Off-stage Members play a vital role to support the chorus. Some devote several hours each month serving on the Board of Directors, while others volunteer for a few hours throughout the year as committee members, ticket sellers, concert ushers, and advocates.
