Monroe County Parks & Recreation Department

The Monroe County Parks & Recreation Department exists to provide quality parks, recreation, and educational programs, to promote appreciation of environmental and cultural resources, and to preserve green space.

We manage Karst Farm Park, Flatwoods Park, Will Detmer Park, and Jackson Creek Park. Parks feature picnic shelters, athletic fields, dog park, playgrounds, trails, community gardens, and natural spaces.

Programs include special events, Bug Fest, day camp, after school sports programs, nature programs, classes, hikes, athletic field rentals, shelter rentals, adult soccer, day trips, water monitoring, and more.
