About Us
Indiana Solar for All is a volunteer-run project of the Center for Sustainable Living, a local 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, active in Monroe County since 1998. 38 households have benefited from the program to date (July 2023). Counting the output of 38 currently installed systems, they will produce over 4,000 Megawatt-hours of clean energy, saving those families close to $760,000 on their electric bills over the next thirty years. This switch to clean energy will also prevent 7.45-million pounds of pollutants from entering the atmosphere from plants that burn fossil fuels, which benefits everybody in the community.
What We Do
Indiana Solar For All provides qualified low and moderate income homeowners with the materials, training and guidance to install a small granted solar energy system to produce electricity for their own homes. Solar systems produce energy for 30 years or more. This helps stabilize family finances and meet community sustainability goals.
