MALL (Mobility Aids Lending Library)

About Us

The Mobility Aids Lending Library (MALL), is an initiative started by a local group of women with physical disabilities (aka “the Wheelie Women”) to serve the greater Bloomington community. This is a partnership with the City of Bloomington Council for Accessibility and the Monroe County Public Library.

What We Do

This lending library matches “gently used” mobility devices free of charge to those who cannot afford them or only need them for a short period of time. Library items may include:

  • canes white canes

  • crutches

  • walkers

  • ankle-foot orthoses (AFOs)

  • rollators

  • wheelchairs

  • scooters

  • power/electric

  • lifts
