Mindfullness Program Volunteer | Lincoln Street Club

Description

The Mindfulness Program is an opportunity for the Club members to learn about mindfulness and social emotional learning with some fun, hands-on activities!

Members will learn about emotional states with emoji games, breathing with balloons, and more!

There are so many benefits of youth utilizing mindfulness practices including increasing positive emotions, focus, memory, attention, and compassion, while decreasing stress and negative emotions. A study published in Developmental Psychology reported 15% better math scores and 24% less aggressive behaviors in elementary students for those utilizing these skills on a regular basis.

Volunteers can join this program on Mondays from 5:15-6:00 PM at the Lincoln Street Club to assist with the program and help members increase their mindfulness skills!  No experience needed.

Volunteers can serve in the Club once as a guest. To volunteer in any capacity in the Club more than once volunteers must complete the volunteer onboarding process and have an active Club Volunteer Membership.
