We need someone to teach and support people with intellectual/developmental disabilities in learning basic computer skills!
Digital Equity Grant and Intern Responsibilities
Grant is run through Hoosier Fiber and is for digital equity.
We have 20 laptops to go to Employment Fundamentals Day day program for client use.
- $125 per round with 2 round ($250 total) with Amazon gift cards
- Will be trained on the Tech Goes Home Curriculum and then will have to
- Modify the curriculum to meet the needs of our laptops– Minimum 15 hours of live instruction
- Teaching structure is up to the intern to shape based on need, interest, and class style of clients. Could meet once a week for 2-3 hour classes or break down into 1 hour increments, etc. You could have teaching time and then lab time, whatever seems like best fit.
- After the two groups, analyze and see if there is need to apply again for another deeper dive round.
- Intern would be an instructor – that knows how to teach technology using curriculum
