The Department of Intelligent Systems Engineering at IU is looking for short-term volunteers (1 hour or more) to assist with on-site assembly of the “Amatria” sentient sculpture installation on the 4th floor of Luddy Hall.
Amatria is a smart art piece with hundreds of feathers, glass vessels, and other elements but also hundreds of sensors and actuators. It will provide a gentle and beautiful introduction of the Internet of Things to a general audience. It aims to create a community of artists, designers, makers, engineers, scientists, and humanists that want to work together on creating desirable futures for human-machine intelligence and interaction.
No prior knowledge is required; hands-on training takes less than five minutes. All are welcome. Feel free to bring your family and friends.

Days/times: March 20th–31st from 10am-5pm, but feel free to check with team for evening hours.
Minimum age is 16; 10 if with an adult.
