The Monroe County Barn Tour is a fund raising event for the Indiana Barn Foundation. Privately-owned barns throughout the county will be open to visitors on a self-guided driving tour. The Hinkle-Garton Farmstead will be one of 9 locations open during the self-guided tour and will serve as the day-of tour headquarters. Volunteers are needed at each of the locations to greet visitors, answer questions and generally assist barn owners as needed.
Volunteers are requested to commit to a 3.5 hour period so as to allow overlap of shifts. Volunteers will be informed of the location where they will be volunteering and given driving directions. In exchange for this commitment, each volunteer will receive a ticket to the rest of the tour.
