Volunteer during 4th Street Festival

CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS!
Excited about Bloomington's Fourth Street Festival of Arts and Crafts? Wanna be a part of this Bloomington tradition?! Rub elbows with area artists for just 3 hours of time on Labor Day Weekend and you can help the Midwest's premier art show run smoothly - plus you'll receive a collectible festival T-shirt!

Volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks including the below!

Setup Day Before:

  • Assist with show setup (physical lifting required)
  • Monitor and direct traffic at barricades/entry points during setup
  • Assist with artist check-in before the festival

Saturday & Sunday During Festival

  • Staff the information booth
    • Sell tee shirts, answer questions
  • Provide hospitality to artists (aka boothsitting)
  • Administer Festival Patron Surveys
  • Count the crowd every half hour with a clicker and stopwatch

Local artists organize this 45+ year Labor Day weekend tradition- help them make it a success!

Inclement Weather Plan: Unless weather is determined to be dangerous by local authorities, the show will go on, rain or shine. Emergency shelter will be available at the public library.
