First Saturday Weed Wrangles are monthly volunteer opportunities to learn about invasive plant species affecting Bloomington's local ecosystems, how to properly remove and dispose of them, and put that knowledge into action!
On the first Saturday of each month, March through November, our Vegetation Management staff train and lead a volunteer group to help clear invasive plants out of our parks and green spaces.
Come be a part of an important environmental effort! Individuals can register by clicking the link below, but this is also an excellent volunteer opportunity for groups!

Duties: For our 'First Saturday' in July, we'll be removing woody invasives and Japanese stiltgrass.
Age of Volunteers: 12 yrs. and up. (Volunteers under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.) Volunteers under the age of 18 must have an Underage Waiver of Liability signed by a parent or guardian.
