The Hospitality Desk is the hub of The Shalom Center day shelter. We are looking for volunteers to work the front desk any day Monday through Friday distributing guests' mail and messages, answering the telephone and taking messages, assisting with distributing toiletries and life essentials, and registering guests to take showers, do laundry, or to see a crisis caseworker. It is one of our most essential services.
The Hospitality Desk is open during Shalom Center's operating hours, 8am-4pm Monday through Friday. Volunteer shifts are 2 hours long (8-10am, 10am-12pm, 12-2pm, and 2-4pm).
