Expired

Description

Join Mother Hubbard's Cupboard in the Butler Park Community Garden. In MHC's community gardens we grow fruits and vegetables organically for our food pantry. Garden novices and experts of all ages are welcome. Tasks include planting, weeding, turning compost, and generally enjoying working together in the garden. MHC stewards the southern plots destined for youth garden programming in the City of Bloomington Butler Park Community Garden. The Hub Butler site includes a 16x30' hoophouse for seed starting, vermicomposting, and season extension.

From April to October our regular workday schedule will be:

  • Mondays: 5pm-7pm at Butler Park
  • Wednesdays: 4pm-6pm at the HUB Pantry Garden

For questions about volunteering, contact Kendra at garden@mhcfoodpantry.org.

Come learn to garden while helping to grow produce for the food pantry!  Experienced gardeners, come share your expertise with new gardeners. We supply the garden, the tools. plants and a plan.  To get involved, just drop by during our weekly workdates!
