Do you love food, cooking, and community? Then join the Hub for a Nutrition Internship!
Nutrition interns offer nutrition information and preparation ideas in our pantry, and work in the produce section displaying and labeling fresh food in the most appealing and accessible manner. There are opportunities to prepare simple dishes to sample out in the food pantry, and to offer general support to the nutrition program. Interns help to connect the food pantry with our community gardens by attending one garden work session per week, and working in the food pantry two or more afternoons each week. Interns work closely with staff and volunteers, and have access to MHC's extensive collection of recipes and other nutrition resources. Previous experience in gardening and nutrition education are not required, just an interest in fresh food and a desire to learn while helping others.
