Auction Assistants are needed to assist guests with mobile bidding at the Art of Chocolate auction. Auction Assistants will need to be able to attend at least one training prior to the event to be registered as a volunteer and learn the online auction management tool. You will need your own personal smart device (phone or tablet) which you will use to place bids for bidders upon request. Auction Assistants are expected to additionally actively help sell "raffle tickets" to guests at the event as part of a "Heads or Tails" game. Training will be provided for this as well at the volunteer trainings.
The theme for the event is Mardi Gras. Volunteers will be asked to allow a face painter to paint a festive mask on their face for the evening. (If allergies or some other concern is expressed, a volunteer could alternatively wear a Mardi Gras mask instead). Dress attire should be semi-formal or at the very least professional.
