Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington is hosting its 17th annual O’Bannon Institute Day of Service on Friday, April 24.
Individuals, community organizations, and businesses are invited to partner with Ivy Tech and volunteer for projects benefiting nonprofit agencies in our communities, with the goal to contribute 1,000 of service! Those who are signed up to volunteer are invited to a kick-off event and continental breakfast starting at 8:15 a.m. on Friday, April 24 at Ivy Tech Bloomington (200 Daniels Way, Shreve Hall) - details coming soon!
On the Day of Service, volunteers are invited to share photos on social media using #IvyTech1000Hours.
Volunteers can also pick up an O’Bannon Institute Day of Service T-shirt during the kick-off event. Minimum age varies by project.

There are several ways in which you can participate:
- Sign up for a Day of Service volunteer project that Ivy Tech has organized. We already have over 20 projects available in our surrounding communities!
- Invite your employees or students to work on a Day of Service project. You can invite your employees or students to work on a volunteer project Ivy Tech has already organized (via the link above), or you can make plans for your organization to work with a local non-profit of your choosing and report the project and number of hours worked to Ivy Tech Bloomington.
- Make plans to work with a non-profit. Make your own plans to work with a local non-profit of your choosing on Friday, April 24, 2020, and report the project and number of hours worked to Ivy Tech Bloomington. This lets you connect with local non-profits you have already built a relationship with while contributing those hours to help Ivy Tech Bloomington reach our goal of 1,000 hours of service in one day.
