The City of Bloomington presents the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Celebration at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater in downtown Bloomington on Monday, January 21, 2019 (program starts at 7 p.m.) All members of the public are welcome to attend and experience:

Keynote Speaker: Janai Nelson, Associate Director-Counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, who will speak on “Making Real the Promises of Our Democracy”
Featured performances by the Indiana University African American Choral Ensemble, directed by Dr. Raymond Wise, and the Fairview Elementary School Choir
