Advocates of Change

The mission at Advocates of Change is to nurture our society and environment by empowering our peers through education, inclusive action, music, and the arts. 

Advocates of Change connects the music and arts community with local non-profits and humanitarian causes by hosting fundraisers, donation drives, and raising awareness at music and art related events across the country. Partnering with dozens of organizations, artists, and musicians to promote their work and encourage community activism. We also host workshop series, volunteer action days, and award artist grants through our Dream Out Loud Program. Currently, we have chapters in Ohio, Virginia, Colorado, Florida, North Carolina, New York, Alabama, Maryland, and Texas - with much more room to grow.

We aim to provide the opportunities and experiences for our communities to feel empowered and supported. We are here to be a platform for change. By using art to connect the music community to the causes we care about, we are connecting to ourselves more deeply. By bridging the gaps, we are healing our planet, each other, and ourselves. This all started in the Fall of 2014 as Share Your Cloud. A result of a conversation on how to add a whole new experience and feeling to music and art events. Starting as a clothing drive, and then a book drive, the art giveaway aspect was added Thanksgiving 2014. Friends continued to donate art and we kept it moving! Two years later, directors voted to change the name to a less ambiguous one, Advocates of Change. This name directly portrays our mission and vision and still holds on to our Papadosio roots. The band who this all started with. Our Dream Out Loud Grant Program was announced at the beginning of 2017 and by the end of this year we will have awarded $4,000 to artists pursuing their dreams. And since the Fall of 2014 we have hosted almost 150 fundraisers, raising nearly $75,000 for dozens of different organizations.
