We provide access to essential material and educational resources through both in-facility and community-based programming. Inside the correctional facility, we offer volunteer-led classes focused on reentry planning, life skills, self-care, and therapeutic education. These programs help individuals build the tools needed to navigate challenges such as substance use disorder, poverty, systemic discrimination, and criminalization. Through this work, participants strengthen their communication and leadership abilities, gain confidence in their decision-making, and tap into their agency—ultimately becoming leaders in their own lives and communities.
Our Transition Support Center (TSC) is staffed by individuals with lived experience and supported by dedicated volunteers and advanced-level social work and social service interns. Together, we serve as navigators for individuals reentering the community, offering trauma-informed and peer-led support tailored to their needs and goals.
Our Reentry Mentor Program furthers this mission by offering continued one-on-one support after release. Staff trained as Certified Peer Recovery Coaches (CPRCs)and/or lived experience are available to assist individuals with implementing release plans, setting goals, and building stability through ongoing mentorship and advocacy.
