About Us

IN*SOURCE began in 1975 in South Bend Indiana with a group of five part-time staff members. Their primary role was to help families understand how newly passed laws about special education applied to their children. Our laser focus has remained the same since those very first days. And while our territory is now statewide, our staff has grown to over 40 members. Our mission and our desire to help ensure that each child reaches their full potential holds true for every one of us. The vast majority of our staff is and has been parents or family members of a loved one with a disability. It helps drive us daily. For each student we serve, we strive to see the potential and help them reach it.

What We Do

Assist parents in understanding their educational rights. Give parents information about the special education process. Help parents and schools work together and develop positive working relationships. Help parents become strong advocates for their children.
