Kappa Tau Omega

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® was founded January 15, 1908 on a mission of five basic tenets that have remained unchanged since the sorority’s inception. Our mission is to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college women, to study and help alleviate problems concerning girls and women in order to improve their social stature, to maintain a progressive interest in college life, and to be of “Service to All Mankind.”

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® , Kappa Tau Omega Chapter was chartered on April 10, 1976 in Bloomington, IN. For over 45 years, Kappa Tau Omega has been committed to service through initiatives focused on health and wellness, education, civic engagement, the arts, and other areas along with signature chapter programs. We are excited to continue to serve the Bloomington Community.
