Stone Belt Pre-ETS

Stone Belt is a nonprofit organization that provides resources and supports for individuals with disabilities. Established in 1958, it is the oldest and largest agency of its kind in south-central Indiana. Pre-ETS was formed in 2016.

Pre-ETS stands for Pre-Employment Transition Services. Pre-ETS is a division of Stone Belt, Arc. that assists high school aged students transition into secondary education or employment after graduation. Students will participate in lessons and activities that cover the 5 following areas: 1. Career Counseling: Exploring different career paths. 2. Post-Secondary Education Counseling: Assistance in preparing for and navigating college. 3. Workplace Readiness Training: Covers lots of soft-skills such as time management, social skills, employer expectations, hygiene, interview skills and much much more. 4. Work Experiences: Temporary work opportunities to explore different work settings and to build the student’s resume and skills. 5. Self Advocacy: Teaches about self-awareness, when to seek accommodations and when to disclose.
