We’ll be working in a beautiful forest area taking out some Asian bush honeysuckle and cutting wintercreeper that’s climbing up trees. We'll provide tools and gloves, please bring water to drink. Walnut. We will be cutting large wintercreeper vines that are crawling up and threatening trees in the dog park. Tools and gloves will be provided, but bring water to drink. The first two dates will be initial 6 mile assessment hikes to identify the Japanese Stiltgrass and to plan our future weed wrangles here. Tuesdays: July 8 Pate Hollow, July 15 Hayes Trail, July 22 Pate Hollow, Aug 12 Pate Hollow Saturdays: Aug 2 Hayes Trail, Aug 9 Pate Hollow, Aug 16 Hayes Trail We've been collaborating with the Hoosier National Forest for 5 years and have seen a remarkable reduction in the invasive Japanese Stiltgrass.
