Volunteer: Volunteer at Global Gifts!

If you are passionate about social justice, environmentalism, fair wages, art, culture, or human rights, then Global Gifts may be the right volunteer opportunity for you.

Since 1988, Global Gifts has been a volunteer-supported nonprofit and fair trade business. Fair Trade is a movement to reduce poverty, create safe and equitable working conditions, and provide fair wages to disadvantaged producers around the world. Unlike traditional production and labor models, fair trade is based on dialogue, transparency, and respect between the people who create products and those who purchase and distribute them.

From jewelry and home goods to toys and food items, our store is filled with handmade, one-of-a-kind items benefiting individuals in approximately 40 countries around the world.

Our store is volunteer-supported and therefore we could not make it's impact without our volunteer team.

Our volunteers provide valuable customer service, assist in-store operations, and help spread the mission of fair trade. Attending volunteer orientation is required before you begin to volunteer.

Volunteers commit to working a minimum of two shifts per month for at least three months (shifts vary from 2.5--4.5 hours). Volunteers need to be comfortable talking with customers and willing to learn about fair trade.

All ages are welcome but those under 14 will need an adult present :)

***For more information & to RSVP to a Volunteer Orientation please email our Volunteer Coordinator, Melissa Adkins - melissa@globalgiftsft.com.

Please do not message through the BVN website. Thank you!!***
