Volunteer: Help Refresh Food Collection Barrels for Area 10!The Area 10 Agency on Aging Mobile Food Pantry uses decorated barrels to collect food donations — and after more than a decade of service, they’re in need of a refresh. Some are painted, others are covered in collage art, and many are showing signs of wear. Here’s what we need help with: Stripping off old collage materials (magazine clippings, adhesives, etc.) Repainting barrels that are faded or chipped Reimagining and redecorating with fresh pictures or paint We have around 30 barrels, so this is more than a one-day project, OR a shared effort. If your group can’t take on all 30 barrels, that’s okay — we can divide them up. But we also get seniors needing assistance with minor plumbing issues, like leaky faucets, toilet flapper, etc. We're looking for a volunteer or two who are skilled in these household plumbing issues and good with troubleshooting. The volunteer work is as needed and flexible to meet your schedule.
