Do you have strong computer and communication skills? The American Red Cross is working around the clock to provide food, comfort and other emergency support to those affected by disasters. Common disasters to which we respond to happen right here in our own communities - floods and fires. Every day there are 2-3 home fires in Indiana and volunteers are needed to respond in person to provide comfort and meet disaster caused needs. All training is provided online, and volunteers sign up for on-call shifts (ideally one shift per week) to provide comfort kits and help those impacted begin the process of recovery.
