High School Summer Internship at Wondercamp

Summer interns help camp instructors guide lively science activities inside the building and outdoors. Scheduling is highly flexible to accommodate the intern’s job schedule and family vacation. A background in science is not required. Each intern receives a certificate upon successful completion of his/her responsibilities. Applicants must be entering grades 9-12 or home-school equivalent. Graduating seniors also may apply. Interns will be selected and supervised by museum staff. WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
The internship program is open to students entering grades 9-12 or home school equivalent. Graduating seniors may apply. Interns will be trained and supervised by museum staff.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Interns will assist at WonderLab's summer camps, which will be held at University Elementary School, WonderLab/Bloomington Cooking School, WTIU TV Studios, Hilltop Garden and Hoosier Heights Climbing Gym.
Interns will work from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday of each camp week.
Each intern will receive a certificate upon successful completion of his/her internship.
REQUIRED TRAINING
ALL interns must attend one of these trainings (both from 5- 6:30 pm at University Elementary School):
- Wednesday, May 29 or
- Wednesday, June 12
Bloomington Cooking School camp session interns must also attend one of the following trainings before their camp:
- Saturday, June 1
- Saturday, July 13
- Saturday, July 20
Each training is from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm at the Bloomington Cooking School.
Hilltop Garden camps session interns must also attend the training on Friday, May 31, from 5 - 6 pm at Hilltop.
Hoosier Heights camp session interns must attend the training on Wednesday, June 12, from 5 - 6:30 pm at the Hoosier Heights Climbing Gym.
