MCCT is partnering with Perry Fowler Haunted Hayride to make this year the scariest year yet!
Send any questions or comments to info@MCCT.org. Individuals less than 18 years old that would like to participate should contact MCCT. Minor community volunteers will be allowed on a case-by-case basis after coordination between MCCT and their parents/guardians.
Haunter role at the Hayride
Your Role: Volunteers will be stationed at a specific spot along the 15-minute hayride route to scare the living daylights out of the guests! New wagons come through about every 8 minutes. We also have a few other roles available, like helping with parking or being a narrator on the wagon, so let us know if that interests you.
Costumes & What to Bring: Please provide your own costume and makeup. Simple and dark is very effective! It can get chilly, so dress warmly in layers. We highly recommend bringing bug spray. Small props are welcome, but please don't bring anything that could soak the guests.
Arrival & Location: Volunteers should arrive at 5:30 PM. We strongly encourage carpooling from our meeting point at the Hoosier Alley parking lot (formerly Lucky's) on the south side of town. The farm is located at 5060 North Greene County Line Road, Bloomington, Indiana 47403.
Important Notes: This is a rain-or-shine event. Volunteers are asked to avoid using your phone in the woods as the light can spoil the scares. We also recommend eating a good meal beforehand to keep your energy up!
Before the Event
MCCT will coordinate a group visit to the farm for volunteers to see what the route is like. This visit will take place the first weekend in October during daylight hours. Registrants will be sent a google form after sign up so that MCCT can coordinate the best time for most volunteers to visit if they wish.
