AMERICORPS YEAR OF SERVICE
Spend your year making a difference at the nation’s premier humanitarian organization: The American Red Cross! We have multiple AmeriCorps positions available as well as internship opportunities for compassionate, creative, motivated humanitarians in Indiana. These positions will primarily serve in the Evansville and Bloomington area, but if you live in another Indiana city feel free to reach out to learn more about other opportunities.
Term: September 15, 2017 – August 31, 2018
Hours per week: Members must complete 900 hours by August 31, 2018; this is approximately 18 – 20 hours a week.
Benefits: Yearly living allowance of $6687.00 at completion of service hours requirement, members will be eligible to receive an education award for $2907.50
Description: AmeriCorps members will take a lead role in enhancing and expanding the recruitment and engagement of volunteers and coordinating training opportunities. They will work on multiple community resiliency-building initiatives, including providing disaster services and capacity building services to improve disaster cycle services-disaster preparedness, response and recovery.
