Volunteer: Side Walkers and Horse LeadersLeading - The role of this volunteer is to lead the horse during therapeutic and beginner riding lessons. Leaders are responsible for getting the horse groomed and tacked on time for the lesson. We require all interested volunteers to complete horse leader training before taking this shift. Side-walking - The responsibility of the side-walker is to assist the client to participate safely during the lesson. Lessons are held Mon-Fri from 11am-8pm, and Saturday from 9am-5pm. Currently, our greatest need is in the evenings! Volunteers are given access to a personal portal to sign up for shifts.
