The Lotus Blossoms World Bazaar is a FREE multicultural arts and education event for kids, families, and community members. Volunteers present arts, music, language, and international crafts that let attendees get their hands on the world with more than 30 vibrant, high-energy stations. The Friday edition of the Bazaar is open only to area 4th-graders, but Saturday’s Community Day is free and open to the public. We're looking for community volunteers to make it a success.  This upcoming Bazaar will take place April 3rd and 4th, 2026.   Volunteers will assist in set-up, assisting with activities/tabling, tear-down, etc. Volunteers even get a super cool shirt designed by a local artist.  Email KP at associatedirector@lotusfest.org for more information and to sign up for volunteering!

Lotus in the Park Committee Member

Create a space where community, culture, and creativity come alive! The Lotus in the Park Committee helps bring one of Lotus’s most joyful, inclusive events to life. This free, family-friendly experience invites the public to engage with global music, art, and hands-on cultural activities in a welcoming outdoor setting.

Committee members play a key role in planning, logistics, and day-of support—especially by assisting our arts partners and helping create an engaging, accessible environment for kids, families, and community members.

This role is perfect for those who believe in the power of cultural exchange, love working with people of all ages, and want to help create moments of inspiration and connection that ripple beyond the event itself.

Volunteer Opportunity: Streets Committee Member

Help shape the heart of the Lotus Festival experience! The Streets Committee is essential to creating the vibrant atmosphere that makes the Lotus World Music & Arts Festival unforgettable. This team manages festival logistics outside of performance venues—transforming the streets of downtown Bloomington into a safe, welcoming, and visually engaging celebration of global culture.

Key responsibilities include:

Assisting with layout planning and setup for outdoor spaces

Coordinating signage, maps, and wayfinding

Managing crowd flow and aesthetics throughout festival zones

Supporting both set-up and tear-down phases of the event

Whether you're passionate about design, logistics, or making public spaces come alive, the Streets Committee offers a hands-on opportunity to be part of the creative force behind the festival.
