About Us

Pets Alive provides the compassionate solution to end the unnecessary euthanasia of cats and dogs by offering affordable, high-quality spay/neuter services. In March 2005, Pets Alive opened its doors and began offering low-cost surgeries for both shelter animals and pets with homes. In its first year, Pets Alive veterinarians spayed and neutered more than 8,000 animals and, as of 2022, have "fixed" more than 220,000 individuals! Our Wellness Clinic offers another critical service to our community through affordable vaccinations, heartworm testing, flea/tick treatment & prevention and more.

What We Do

One cat or dog and their offspring can be responsible for the birth of 30-50 kittens or puppies in one year. As a result, millions of cats and dogs of all ages and breeds are euthanized annually or suffer as strays. Pets Alive has already helped to reduce the euthanasia rate in south central Indiana throughout our region, but there is still much work to be done. Be in touch if you're interested in applying to join our board of directors, or a committee!
