We support research by providing platforms to engage the public in scientific advances as well as one-on-one consultation. We also provide mentoring opportunities through our undergraduate research programs.
IU Science Fest is a public event that is designed to increase student interest and competence in hands-on science activities in a relaxed, safe and fun atmosphere.
The Science Olympiad State Tournament is held on the IU Bloomington Campus in the spring. For this event, schools from around the state compete in regional competitions to earn the right to compete at the state tournament. Fifty-four science competitions spanning all areas of science are held and the top five middle and top five high schools are crowned. The first place team in each division wins the right to compete at the National tournament.
